How to use these presets

Simply open Serum and process it through your favorite distortion plugin, guitar pedal, or amp.

Some distortion plugins or pedals may smash the sound too much and then it won’t sound like a pluck. If that happens, turn down the master volume on serum (possibly a lot).

The “Length” and “Filter” macros will help you quickly dial in the best sounding pluck. From there, perform using different velocities and by moving the mod wheel.

The “Tone” macro usually adds more or less bass to your sound. A static knob position sounds good in most cases, but you might want to automate the knob to create some tonal variety.
