How To Use These Presets

Simply open Serum, load the preset, and start playing.

Move the mod wheel to change the size of the “grain window” from overlapping to choppy.

The first three macros knobs are the same thing in every preset - each controls a particular aspect of the granular synthesis:

Start Point - changes the wavetable position, which sounds similar to changing the starting point of an audio clip.

Window Speed - changes how fast or slow the grains “play”. At extreme speeds you can get brand new overtones.

Grain Length - changes how much of the wavetable is “played” during every grain. This can do interesting things when the window speed is very fast or very slow.
